Data we need

Belcote Farm Tipi Weddings, Mearse Lane, Belbroughton, DY9 9YE will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you including name, email and telephone numbers. This will not include special information such as location.


Why we need this data

We need to know your basic personal data in order to contact you to discuss your enquiry.  We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide and oversee the services you have asked us to provide. We will process your data under the lawful basis of consent.

What we do with this data

All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK for the purpose of record-keeping. This information is located on servers within the UK. No third parties have access to your personal data.

How long we need this data for

We will only keep your information for the length of time needed to carry out the purposes outlined in this privacy statement and for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. In some circumstances we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information for up to 6 years without further notice to you.

  • When you make an enquiry in person, on the website, by phone or when visiting our venue

  • If you ask us to keep in touch with you

  • When you provide us with comments, opinions and/or feedback about our venue and our service

  • Data relating to wedding guests: Where we are planning a wedding, we will be liaising with our our client. Our client may give us information relating to wedding guests to help plan the day. This could include accessibility information. We process this information only at the request of our client. In collecting wedding guest information and providing it to us, our client will be the data controller and Belcote Farm Tipi Weddings will be the data processor.

Disclosure of your personal data

We may share your personal data with selected third parties in accordance with this privacy statement, as follows:

  • With any supplier you enquire about

  • With any other third-party suppliers whom you explicitly ask us to provide your personal data to for the potential or actual provision of goods and/or services at your wedding

  • With analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimization of the website

  • With government or other law enforcement agencies, in connection with the investigation of unlawful activities or for other legal reasons (this may include your location information)

We are committed to taking appropriate measures designed to keep your personal data secure. Our procedures are designed to protect your personal data from accidental, unlawful or unauthorized loss, access, disclosure, use, alteration, or destruction. Where you purchase a service from Belcote Farm Tipi Weddings, a contract will be provided and your personal data will be used to contact you with regard to the contract and providing the services contained within the contract. We will not use your personal data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent to do so.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can make a Subject Access Request (SAR), the request can be sent to the information can then be corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us and we will investigate the matter.

Consent to use your personal data can be withdrawn at any time by emailing requesting your personal data be removed from our system.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
